Time of Your Life (Good Riddance)

Well, it's a sad day in Xanga-land. I have decided that I get WAY too busy WAY too often to keep this sight running. Currently I'm in the middle of trying to finish a quarter of school and move everything I've owned to Texas while sending myself and everything I need in Minneapolis to Oklahoma where I'll be for 2 weeks at which point I will then ship all the stuff I brought with me to Oklahoma to Minneapolis!! GOOD LORD! I can't take it.

What? Minneapolis? What? Yes, I'm moving there for a few months to take some more classes at the Miami Ad School BRANCH they have there. It's part of the whole "quarter away" thing my school does. I'll be in Tulsa for Christmas and OKC for New Years so plan your party schedule accordingly.

Which leads me BACK to the sad news. This will be my LAST Xanga posting. We've had some good times....remember the Paris picture? The day I cast all my friends in a movie about my life? Maybe I'll return again some day...until then you can still get your Beau-caine fix at HERE. It's less hassle and less pressure than the Xanga.

a final, peace out BITCHES.

Well holy SHIT! Much like a female cop and David Gest I've been without power for FAR too long!!!

Wilma proved she's slightly more of a bitch than her prehistoric namesake and hit Miami Beach HARD! I'm talking all that wind and water...if these people don't act quick this beach might actually start to get CLEAN!

After 3 days, sans-electricity I'm BACK! Luckily, Lindsay and her damned good luck had power early on so I've been camping out there.

I've taken a few pics of the damage so I'll put those up as soon as I get around to it. There's been an 8pm curfew on Miami Beach since Monday which sucks. Fuck those homeless people in New Orleans, there are actually people here who CAN'T get their $12 drinks or walk around Ocean Dr. with misguided confidence!!! GEEZ!

Our highly intelligent prez has continued his new hobby of visiting disaster-ridden cities and has come down to South Florida. Sadly I missed his visit and any photo ops that may have taken place starring dubya, rolled-up sleeves and some dark-skinned child...he's so in touch with the American people...and freedom.

Okay, this concludes my post, Wilma-Update edition.

To answer "calenna" question...I have no clue what eProps are or any difference btwn. those and comments. I guess I really didn't answer anything, did I?

Alright, I'm sorry, DAMMIT! I've been preocupied with school, cane-dodging and looking up the correct spelling of "preocupied", but I'm BACK with the much-needed OU/TX update...

Well, just like Mexicans and dumb women we were beat by Texas. Oh well I say. As I quote Lindsay, "even when we're losin' -- I'm still boozin'"

And BOOZIN' I did!! This OU/TX goes down as one of the BEST ones I've been to (there are 6 total, my young children).

Some highlights:

Me and Squire getting drunk of imported beer and red wine...that drunk night couldn't have been classier if I took a dump on a marble floor and wiped up my vomit with a silk scarf.

Reuniting with my 373 crew

Witnessing the "Star Wars on Ice" show from my hotel window complete with Darth Vadar fuck-up in the finale scene.

Meeting my 6th roommate for the weekend, Justin and hearing his first words, "Yeah I just got high in down town"...didn't we all, Justin...didn't we all...

Drinking the best amoxicillin-tinis all night and finding out why those silly doctors say not to mix alcohol with antibiotics while becoming intimate with the toilet. Let's just say I "Pi Phi'ed" everything I had eaten right down the toilet.

Reuniting with my favorite black/white Tulsa combo, Rick & John

Getting completely wasted during the game, running out of insults to yell at UT so then taking it out on their fans. (honorable mention to my masculine caesar salad).

Listening to MO continue to say, "if Texas wins, the terrorists have won"

Reuniting with newly poop-headed Lucas.

Bringin' it

Hangin' out with absolutely ridiculous, Hilfiger-loving' Tom whom I've never met and hope to never meet again

Drinking my body weight in plastic bottle beer and then flashing all of Greenville in the name of Katrina (it's the least I could do).

Check out pics HERE!

Well of course there are MANY more fun times to talk about but frankly I'm sick of writing and I'm sick of looking at all of you...so enjoy.

AND...I appreciate all the call of concern that I'm sure to receive over this whore, Wilma, but I'm going to ba A-OK so don't worry...hurricanes are some kind of candy, right?

Well, I'M BACK like Steve Guttenberg!!

NYC was INCREDIBLE! It was my 3rd trip to the BIG APPLE and it's still as amazing as ever. The trip has reaffirmed my belief that people in NY are MUCH nicer than people in South Beach and that this over-rated Hispanic-soaked city can't hold a glowstick to New York City.

My wonderful friend, Ting, who I stayed with works at Entertainment Weekly which hosted a "meet & greet" with Anthony Anderson and I actually got to sit in...it was awesome. (Click on his name before you say "I don't know him" cause you do).

The first night Ting and I went to a very posh bar called Stone Rose where Ting had an Entertainment Weekly discount and the bar had an entertaining view of the NYC skyline. After we had our fill of $75 dollar drinks we went to this bar called Hogs and Heffers it was the bar where the award-winning "Coyote Ugly" was filmed. It was fun, although the "coyotes" were NO Tyra Banks. After that it was Red Rock West which was pretty much "Hogs and Heffers" but with a very talented bar-maid (see pictures).

I met up with 3 members of OU's INCREDIBLE comedy troupe, "Continuity" -- Seth Scott, Julie Urice and Michael Solice. Aside from discovering that Julie is a cold-hearted conservative, it was an awesome time. We all went to a bar in East Village called Rififi. It was wall-to-wall indie, I'm too cool, I wear black-rimmed glasses, I wear winter clothes in the summer people but it was still an awesome time. This may have to do with the fact that they had Pabst for $3...that's right....$3 beer in NYC!! Only Sooners can find that deal.

I saw Rent for the second time, then Ting and I were lucky enough to win a "lottery" ticket to see a new and upcoming show called Spelling Bee -- it was hilarious, Rent was awesome as usual and I taught Ting that you have to dress up for the theater...she wasn't feeling that too much...but that's the way it goes.

Another night I met up with some MORE Okies...fellow ad practitioner Maria Real, her roomie and ultra-tan Grant Jones. We went to ANOTHER awesome bar in West Village called Fat Black Pussycat. It was so cool. I didn't know NYC had a "college scene" but it did. The FBPC was much like the Gamma Phi house IN THAT it was small on the outside and amazingly large on the inside (also everyone inside had an odd affinity for soccer and softball :) It was good times.

Well, of course, there's other things to mention but I feel I've rambled enough. I enjoyed it immensely. Thanks again to the wonderful Ting for everything.

Check out the NYC pics HERE!

I would also like to thank everyone who asked about my Mom and the hurricane. That whore, Rita went more North than first expected and spared Galveston. My Mom's fine, my cat is fine and the house is fine. I guess the gods of nature have forgiven me for my anger.

It's back to the boring life in Miami (yes, I said "boring" and "Miami" in the same sentence") BUT, I'm SO excited about OU/TX in 2 weeks!! And I don't want to hear one more fucking thing about how we're going to lose!! We may lose, but let us all not become asshole fair-weather fans...those damn longhorns have stood 0 chance of winning for the past 4 years and they still come with 100% confidence so maybe we could do the same!

Okay, it appears that I have angered the gods with my rage-filled ramblings (not the first time) and now it looks like Rita is "juicin'" faster than Canseco and heading straight for Galveston, TX. Home of over-poluted beaches, 2nd largest Mardis Gras celebration...oh yeah...and my Mom and brother...GEEZ! So consider me right there with the rest of the world in FREAKING OUT over hurricanes. Luckily they're all leaving today to head to home of boring-ass real worlders, Austin, TX so they will be A-OK.
